Playa La Ropa Beach Parachute Ride

During all my days on the beach there were a constant stream of people taking parachute rides over the beach. I of course wanted to do it and bring my camera, but I saved it for my last day so that in the event of a camera destroying water landing that at least it would be at the end of my trip! But everything went fine . . . here are the photos.

Crocodile De La Manglar

There is a place on Playa La Ropa where a natural river meets the sea. They have the area fenced off, so that the crocs have to stay in the river, and cannot exit to the ocean. There is a restaurant right along the river, where there is no fence. It’s a strange feeling to be eating your meal, and then having a croc looking at you 10 feet away.

Casa Heidi

I did a whole lot of nothing today. I sat on a chair on the beach and ordered food on the spot and stared off into space. I haven’t really been taking any photos. Next week I’m thinking I’ll motivate. We had a small fiesta at Casa Heidi last night before Heidi leaves for the holidays back to Norway. Good times.

I enjoyed my first day in Zihuatanejo. In your head, imagine the most perfectly awesome first day you could possibly have. It was just like that. In order to honor and breathe in the initial sensory overload, I left the camera back at Casa La Ropa.

I rose before dawn this morning and took the 5 minute walk from the case down to the beach for my first Mexican Sunrise.
