I’ve got some new employees that have been keeping me busy doing ‘real’ work. But I’m here in Steamboat taking more mountain biking photos, so I really have to get these old pics off the camera. 2 Sunday’s ago, Ryan and I rode the Ceran St. Vrain trail up to Miller’s rock. On the singletrack on the way out, there is an angled rock that is perfect for launching. Getting the timing right for action shots with the Canon G10 is tough, but sometimes you wind up with an interesting composition. In this case, it’s me with my head cut off.

Last weekend I got together with a small group of local Boulder photographers for a photography practice session. We are starting a local community that shoots using small off-camera flashes, in the style of the Strobist Website. John Heisel got the idea to start a blog about it. Great, that’s ALL I need is another website! Ooof. Well, I’m a sucker for a new website so I’m spending my Saturday night (Sunday morning?) getting it set up and up and running.

I’m hoping that some of the other guys will chip in and help to post regular content, thereby making the site super cool and fresh with content. If you are a local photographer and are interested in joining the group, please do, the more the merrier!

…for me, anyway. With all the stuff I have going on it looks like I’m going to call it a season. I haven’t heard of anyone talking about getting some final days in at Abasin; the talk has mostly turned to bikes. I set a modest personal record this year, 33 days! Here is Hot Robbie dead sailoring off a cornice at Loveland on 4/20.
