Thank you so much for the wonderful pictures. At the time, I was sharing the experience and celebrating with the hard working volunteers in the Lafayette Obama Campaign Office. I wish I could have been everywhere, in every city across America and around the world as they celebrated in the streets. This was a Monumentus Day. And you expressed my feeling completely, Steve. For the first time in 8 years I am PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN, again.

Steve: Jane, so, you thought that McCain out-spoke Obama in the debates? We all know who literally cheated their way in to the white house by blocking voters to the polls in Florida in 2004. All you have done is regurgitated the rhetoric that you have been fed by the status quo. You pick on his wife and call him names like a school child. Your arguments are petty and lack merit of any kind. As Io said, the WORLD wanted Obama to be elected, sorry that your own world cannot see the light.

I believe in Barack Obama and feel real hope for the first time in a long while. I was in Europe just before the 2004 election and all the Europeans watch our elections. They expressed their disapproval for President Bush. I was scrutinized as to whom I would vote(not Bush).

Finally, I believe we will have a President that the world will respect and admire. Our country will be looked at in a positive light once again.

As for Obama “cheating” his way into the presidency, it’s difficult for me to imagine how he managed to do that. This is not a close election that came down to one or two states. How exactly did he cheat? Did he promise to try his best to improve our country, to get back the respect that other countries once had for us, to work with everyone in a bipartisan way to make America a strong, healthy, wonderful country to live in? That’s not cheating to me – that’s making wonderful promises that will be difficult to make a reality, but I believe he’s the best man to try to do it, and THAT is why I voted for him. If that’s “blindly following him” for his “mediocre speaking skills,” that’s what I did, but I call it trust and respect for a man who I believe to be a good, honest, intelligent, hardworking politician, and I’ve never been more proud of a vote that I cast.

It’s also sad to see so many people following Hussein Obama like a cattle without thinking, completely blidly because of his mediocre speaking skills. That’s what I call blind stupidity.
