We usually get some sunny days in the 60s in Boulder in March. And the important thing to know is that when it happens; it’s very likely that it will be followed by snow in the near future. See the snow on Long’s Peak? Yeah, that’s what I’m talking about. I think it is a situation where if you want to play, you are going to have to pay. Either way, it’s important not to squander the fair weather opportunities when they present themselves. So Ryan and I headed up to Hall Ranch for another day on the dirt.

It was a pretty sweet day. Right as we got to the top the wind picked up, and we had a wicked tailwind the whole way down which made for extra air over all the water bars. The coolest part for me was when I came down off of the upper loop on the fastest section and I came upon a huge heard of deer. They started running and scattering all over but I was moving pretty fast, one of them chose a path across the trail about 10 feet in front of me. I felt like one of the herd :>)

This blog post is turning into some kind of Ryan shrine. Well they don’t usually make fun of people at their shrines, but I like to do things my own way. Right after the above photo was taken, he tells me that he’s working on not making stupid faces when having his picture taken. Poor guy, all these years I thought he was doing it on purpose! So I guess this means he looks constipated on the trail all the time.

I call this last photo, Positively Posterior. Anyway, I need to go riding with some other people so I can get some subject variety. So that pretty much means getting some more friends to quit their jobs, since I like riding in the middle of the week when the trails are empty. C’mon, who’s up for it?
