Wingnut and I headed up to Helldora for some infamous bulletproof ice edge training today. Despite having the 3rd largest base in the state, the wind capital of Boulder County never ceases to underwhelm. Fortunately, I had a second agenda, which was to shoot product photography for my friend Davidson, mad scientist creator of Ecologic Designs. He has some cool snowboard bags made from vinyl billboards and goggle straps made from inner tubes. Well he has a bunch of other products in addition to those, but those two are the snow related ones. Another bonus was some balmy weather that came out of nowhere that made it easy to shoot while I was on the lift. I tweaked the image to give the illusion that it was a glorious day on slopes. Ha! We spent a lot of time making up songs about the day, Helldora! Where the snow is yellow and the wind blows strong, Helldora!

don’t you just love helldorado and all the antics associated with it? no, but seriously, they just had a show on wednesday in Turkey that was pretty kick ass. there’s another one coming up in March in Farsund, Norway if you’re interested. it’s sold out but i’m pretty sure i could finagle another one. that’s my favorite honky!
Um, so apparently Helldorado is a band, so that means I now understand roughly 30% of what you are talking about
i always knew you were one of those people who look at the glass 1/3 full. shockingly, i never fathomed that you would ever believe it’s 2/3 empty. and what’s more surprising is that you work in percentages and i work in fractions…sorry i yearn for accuracy, not mediocre approximations. suckas need fractals!
Oh, so it has come to this, airing dirty laundry in a public forum. Well, this is MY public forum, sista, so keep it straight up and get this straight, in the name of accuracy, 30% is most certainly NOT 1/3, and I most certainly DO use fractal interpolation software on my photos
yea because that 3.333333333333333333…% of my comment that you didn’t get was actually pretty important. that would be my king tut reference…i can’t believe you didn’t embrace that one. and p.s. i’m bringing sexy back into PDAPF (public displays of affection in public forums). thanks, my precious [new] guinea pig (not to be confused with Old Guinea, the province with a sophisticated kula shell and yam bartering system).
This photo is so good that makes me almost want to cry. But like, in a really manly way. The kind of crying that Jack Bauer does. Tears of manly joy.
