I got a parking ticket at the JeffCo Dinosaur Lots the day of the Ski Jam. I was pretty annoyed, since half of the lots are closed for construction and all the spots were taken. It’s not like you really have much choice if you had predetermined that your group was carpooling from that location.

Anyway, I’ve been trying to implement the teachings of The Secret and The Law Of Attraction to bring more wealth into my life. I can see this work is paying off, as I just got an unexpected check! Hopefully I can work on the magnitude a bit in the coming months.

How ’bout the 32.6 cents they spent on that postage?

gary r. - Seriously. A couple of years ago, I received a check from my state (I believe) for $0.19. My g/f received one for $0.34.

Somebody needs to enact a national law that says “If you are supposed to receive a check, and the check amount is less than a dollar, you either have to pick up the check yourself, or it will be automatically donated to help homeless children in American. Oh, and if you drive to pick up your next-to-worthless check, you will be made fun of. Publicly”.

Iolanthe - You think that is bad. I frequently receive payment checks like that from health insurance companies that don’t want to pay health care providers what we bill! More checks are under $5 than you know! That is why I am most likely closing my practice! Costs me more to bill out than the money I will receive! I agree with Gary on donating the Gov’t checks to homeless kids.
