There are no bricks in The Wall

I’ve been drinking beer every day since I’ve been here and I’m feeling a lot better. I’ve found that I’ve adjusted to the culture over here. The trains are now making perfect sense. Here is a tasty breakfast morsel for a site seeing man on the go.

With a fresh sugar buzz I headed on out to check out the sites of the city. Unfortunately most of the sites are labeled in German, and I don’t have any kind of guidebook, so I’m not going to bother trying to figure out exactly what they are. Mostly they are big and tall.

This guy here has seen better days. Here’s the inside of the adjacent church.

It’s a good thing the Boulder crew wasn’t here or they’d be climbing this route in no time.

I’m not sure if this is Posiden, but he sure is a bad ass. He was clearly a pimp of the ages, ruling over the ladies, animals, and even babies. I’m not sure what’s up with the babies, though.

In the background you can see the big radio tower. I went up in it.

The markets are really quiet in the winter. You can imagine what they would be like in the summer, bustling with people and tourists from everywhere. I think it’s worth being a bit cold to have the place to myself.

This is a cool old building with 3 sides and no roof.

I don’t know if everyone else likes the old walls and stones like I do. This wall had old and new bricks in the same wall. And it was just a wall standing by itself in the middle of nowhere. I wish I had these kinds of backdrops for photo shoots back in Boulder.

Can you imagine sprinting at 40 miles an hour on a wet surface like these like the pro roadies?

I feel like I’ve been on Max Beer Street the entire time that I’ve been here.

Check out the side of this building! Trippy!

In the afternoon we headed down to see a mile long stretch where they still have the wall standing. Some of it has been painted by commisioned artists. All of it has been covered with graffiti. The next series of photos were all taken on the wall.
