Trust your instincts
Why do we second guess ourselves? Why don’t we trust that if we make the choice that feels right, that everything will unfold as it should? Why do we stay in relationships too long? Why do I spend 2 weeks designing a magazine ad with one photo when I know that I want to use multiple photos?
There are many good reasons why a simple, clean, and elegant ad that features one photo and my logo would work for my Premier Bride magazine ad. I received much help and recommendations in that direction from experienced people. But ultimately it just didn’t feel right for me. It is a posed photo that could be replicated by anyone with good composition and good lighting skills. What I think sets me apart is my ability to capture special moments, to bring out natural expressions, and to compose everyday shots artistically in the moment. That is tough to do with a single photo. If a picture tells a thousand words, then I guess I just have 6,000 words to say.
In the future I’m going to really try and feel in my heart what the right decision is and Just Do It. And as a result I will have a lot more time to go riding. :>)
