Fashion Shoot in the Rain (Never give up!)

I had been planning a portfolio shoot with Crystal for over a week. By Saturday it was pretty clear that Sunday was going to be a washout. But Crystal has a busy schedule, and we weren’t sure when we were going to be able to shoot again. So we persevered, and despite almost running out of daylight, intrusions on our desired locations, and other setbacks, we made it happen. Lingerie photos in the 40 degree rain! Despite that it was getting dark and she has the tendency to ‘get cold easily’, we came out with some fun stuff.

There are more images after the break . . .
So I saved the more Maxim style racey images for after the page break. It is a tough decision sometimes for me to decide what to post and not to post. I run the risk of offending potential wedding and family portrait clients by posting lingerie shots. But overall I try to keep my work tasteful, and hopefully everyone will see art as art, and these images as nothing more than you would find in a family PG-13 movie.

And yes, I actually do think it is perfectly realistic for a woman to be walking along the railroad tracks, in an industrial area, in the rain, wearing pink lingerie and white high heeled boots, thank you very much. It happens all the time when I’m sleeping!

Nice pics. Crystal is the most photogenic model I have ever seen. Great work Steve Z.
Don’t get me started.
Crystal is stunning, and the rain adds a unique environmental effect. Awesome!
WOw WOw..that’s beautiful!
Just curious, how on earth you kept your camera dry?
Crystal is one of the most photo friendly person I have ever known. She makes the camera light up and her expressions are caught in the time of day. Those who know her can attest to the fact that this is not by mistake. She has worked at being the beautiful lady that she is and I take my hat off to her for working for what she wants. Special is only the beginning for a model like Crystal. She also sings like an angel from heaven. Best of luch with the modeling career.
Wow Glenn, that’s pretty over the top! As far as the rain, my lens is water sealed, but my camera isn’t, so for some of the shoot I stuck an umbrella down the back of my jacket!
My favorite: Second to last. I was waiting for one without the umbrella. Fabulous work Steve!
Very cool images! Have you done any fashion shoots in the snow?
no, but come to think of it, I should!
Right on Steve! A model & photographer that will take what’s given and improvise is a special mix and the two of you captured something with this shoot. First & foremost her willingness to go with the rain and stay into the shoot is remarkable. Most would have said “it’s raining, no way!” Then for you to keep the shoot going and capturing such strong editorial content was pretty skilled. Great work!
