Thanks for visiting my personal blog! This is the place where I publish photos and ramblings that don't quite fit in with the image of my "professional blog" - AKA "The Light Side". Whatever that means. You can view all my professional wedding, portrait, and business photography portfolios by clicking the 'Portfolio' link above. But if you want to check out Everything Else, read on.

Wouldn’t it be cool if all girls on road bike rides wore fishnet stockings?

I have noticed a trend on this blog. Whenever I post pictures of girls, the number of hits on the site go through the roof. In the Cruiser Ride photo galleries, the most viewed images are the ones with the hotties. This is shocking information, I know. You would think that at some point some kind of equilibrium would be reached, where the supply of sexually visual material would exceed the demand. What would it take to cause that kind of sensory overload? Probably nothing short of blindness. So in the spirit of excess and pushing the limits, I present the Daily Photo.

The day that I published the boots and stockings shot below turned out to be the biggest traffic day for this site. I couldn’t figure out exactly why at first. But then I realized that the model had posted some of the pics to her Myspace page on the same day. I’m assuming that is how the traffic got here; unless there is a big secret internet stocking fetish that I’m not aware of. Could be. Either way, I’m sure you’ve been dying to see the head attached to the legs, so here you go. VidKitty is wicked video artist, former expert bike racer, an all around ass kicker. Check out this video flipbook of the photography work of George Lange in 2006. Very cool. VIDEO LINK

Yesterday’s comment regarding geometry will probably make more sense after I remember to post the gallery. Right. Gallery now posted in yesterday’s post.
Nederland Steam Crane Photo Gallery

Up in Ned there are a couple old cranes sitting right in the middle of town. The big steam crane is pretty large and in charge. They are part of the Mining Museum. But, like a lot of Ned, the exhibit borderline looks like a bunch of trash laying around in the yard in front of the trailer and behind the Chevelle on blocks. So big pictures of the cranes themselves are a bit underwhelming, the available background and high contrast light didn’t leave me much to work with. So I went in close, apparently I still have ‘geometry’ on the brain!

Midway down the canyon today, I slammed on the brakes and whipped a U-ey. I decided on a whim to do something that I’ve never done before: take the 50 yard hike to check out Boulder Falls. Well, now I know why I never hear anyone talking about it. A bit underwhelming, I guess I just thought they would be … bigger?
Cool video of the fastest production car. This Bugatti has 16 cylinders, 4 turbos, 10 radiators, and 1001hp. VIDEO LINK

So we went up to Frozen Dead Guy Days to take some fun photos. Unfortunately, a wet blizzard rolled in and foiled my plan. We were underprepared for the cold whether, and ran for cover after the parade. I didn’t even get to see Grandpa. OK, next year … in the meantime, more photos of fog.

While it was cold, dark, and freezing in town, the sun was rising and warming the fog from above. Tough to make out in this mini-image, but I like the bits of power lines in Louisville protruding out of the middle of the cloud mass.
The primary mountain town in the hills above Boulder is Nederland. Up there, packed in dry ice, is a dead guy. His name is Grandpa, and they keep him in the shed. There is a weekend long town festival every year celebrating this. Pretty silly. Additional silliness includes the Blue Ball with Grandpa look alike contest, a parade, and coffin races. I’m thinking about heading up and shooting some pics tomorrow. Frozen Dead Guy Days Web Site
